You've been paying for the label, not the clothes.
A fifty dollar overshirt and a two hundred dollar overshirt are often the same overshirt.
Same cotton, same mill, sometimes the same factory. What you're paying the extra hundred and fifty for is store rent, the ad that followed you around last week, a wholesaler's cut, and a name sewn inside the collar. You can't wear any of it.
We're not claiming to be cheap. You can buy a jacket for twenty dollars and you'll find out why the first time you wash it. We're aiming at the bit in between, which barely exists any more: clothes that hold their shape and their color, at a price that isn't doing marketing work.
What we stock
Overshirts, camp collars, quilted jackets, ribbed tees, joggers, knitwear. Everyday things, in brown and cream and charcoal and navy, because a narrow palette means everything works with everything and you stop thinking about it.
The list is short and stays short. If a knit pills in a fortnight or a jacket looks right flat and wrong on a person, we don't stock it. That's fewer products than most stores our size carry, which is the trade we've made.
How the price works
We buy direct and sell direct. Nobody takes a cut on the way in, nobody takes one on the way out, and that accounts for most of the gap between our price and what you'd pay on a high street for something comparable.
The rest is just restraint. No seasonal campaigns, no paid placement, and no price inflated in advance so a sale can bring it back down. What it says in November is what it says in March.
One price
The number you see is the number. We don't run fake sales off an inflated tag.

Fewer products, each one actually checked, instead of a catalog nobody reads.
